CAUSE
Tooth sensitivity to hot or cold stimulus (eating or drinking hot or cold foods), cause by thinning of the enamel from regularly eating acidic foods and beverages, brushing teeth too hard, using hard bristle toothbrushes and grinding of teeth.
PREVENTION
Avoid brushing too hard, use soft bristle toothbrush, use of mouthguard (grinding) limit eating acidic foods (if unavoidable, rinse with water after eating).
TREATMENT
Use of toothpaste specifically made for sensitive teeth, gum graft (if needed)
